Let's get started:

  1. Close Garmin Express completely. Close the Garmin icon in the notification tray
  2. Connect your Garmin device to your computer with the USB charging cable
  3. Use File Explorer to open the \Garmin\Sports folder on your device
  4. Copy a broken activity profile to your computer (e.g. RunningRun.fit or Golf.fit)
  5. Select the file you copied below:

  1. Download and install OpenMTP
  2. Close Garmin Express completely (CMD-Q). Close the Garmin icon in the menu bar
  3. Connect your Garmin device to your computer with the USB charging cable
  4. Use OpenMTP to open the /Garmin/Sports folder on your device
  5. Copy a broken activity profile to your computer (e.g. RunningRun.fit or Golf.fit)
  6. Select the file you copied below:
